Manufacturing company fined after man was killed in blender

A company that manufacturers brakes in Sydney has been fined $125,000, after an employee was killed whilst cleaning a high-powered blender, as reported in news.com.au.
FIP Brakes International and its director Chris Katakouzinos were charged with breaches of the Ocuupational Health & Safety Act 2000.
The incident occurred in March 2008, it was reported that the power to the blender was still switched on, with the machine still operational whilst the worker was inside.
