FARMER CAUGHT BETWEEN TRACTOR AND HAY BALE DIES

SafeWork SA is investigating the death of a farmer in South Australia, today.
The 55-year-old man, who is yet to be named, was reportedly using a tractor fitted with hydraulically-operated tines, to move large hay bales.
He was found by his employee this morning caught between his tractor and a hay bale, according to WorkSafe
An inspector from the agency's Port Pirie office attended the scene this morning after being notified by South Australia Police.
The tractor has been seized by South Australia Police for further examination.
SAPOL and SafeWork SA will work together to determine the sequence of movements by the tractor, as part of their investigation.
This follows an incident where a transport company Goodchild Nominees was fined after its worker diedwhen he was struck by 500 kilogram silage bale.
