Applications now open: Round two of the High-risk Industry Work Health Funding Program.

Eligible workplaces, industry associations and not-for-profit organisations can apply for up to
$40 000 to fund initiatives that are designed to improve the health and wellbeing of workers.

High-risk industries

The funding program is targeting industries where the health of workers has been identified as high-risk, including:

  • building and construction industry
  • transport and storage industry
  • mining and resources sector and associated supply chain in rural and regional Queensland.

Funded projects must:

  • address one or more of the SNAPO risk factors - smoking, poor nutrition, harmful alcohol consumption, physical inactivity, and overweight and obesity
  • encourage healthy behaviours and create a supportive work environment to make healthy choices easier for workers.

Applications close at 5:00 pm on Friday 11 October 2013.
